I did not expect to like videography as much as I did. I took a visual storytelling class last semester and had to put together a documentary video. Not going to lie, at the time it was an absolutely daunting task and I felt completely inexperienced. This made me hesitant at first, this was a project I was not initially excited for.

But after a lot of trial and error and only our phones in tow, we produced Beyond Important: TXST Bees. In this short video, we discuss how vital bees are for our everyday lives and how important it is to take care of them.

After getting over the initial fear of making an entire video, I started to really enjoy the process. I saw this as a huge beast and I was not sure where to start, but when I started to do the work - any work - everything just started to fall into place. I will admit, I liked editing the most. I was not surprised there, mostly because I am literally always behind my computer doing graphic design work. I did learn here that fear is 10 feet tall and paper thin, and after everything was finished I had a video that I put a lot of work into and I am so proud of the end result.
